Live From [Gluten-Free] Portland, Oregon
Kelly, Judy, and Don
I've been in Portland, Oregon visiting my family. The little lady above, my mom, had back surgery for the second time on Monday. I'm happy to report that there were no complications and she is now recovering at home.
I thought you might like to see the screws that they took out of her back. I'll use her favorite expression now, "Gads!" She'll have to feel better now that she's not carrying those around, right?! I hope so.
On a lighter note, I'll soon share with you some new gluten-free places I've discovered here in Portland. Surprisingly, there are a lot of gluten-free places to eat near my parents house in NE Portland.
Talk soon,
Kelly
Greetings from Massachusetts! Speedy recovery and hugs to your mom!!
LOL! "Gads!" ...love that expression!

Kelly,
Take the short trip to Vancouver to Lingonberries Market for a new shopping experience! Hank, the owner, has uncovered all the local chefs who make amazing products. I recommend the marionberry scones!!

Wow, I had similiar hardware removed from my spine late last year after many spinal surgeries and infections. I now feel like a human being again! Best to your Mom!

Hi Kelly,
Welcome to the West Coast! My daughter and I ate at Andina's on Glisan for the first time last week and it was GREAT! I am glad your Mom is recovering, great hardware! Have fun with your family. If you are down in the Corvallis area, keep me in mind!
